Want more details about “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”? I’ve got ’em

Bravo released more details about the upcoming, sure to be trashtastic series “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” today.

First off, we won’t have to wait until May 12 to get a look at the Franklin Lakes residents. The network will air a special called “The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Preview Special” at 11 p.m. Tuesday, April 7. Second, Bravo released this video as a tease (there are actually two clips here):

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Furthermore, additional info about the ladies was released, including the following:

Caroline Manzo has been married for 25 years to Albert, who runs The Brownstone, a successful catering facility in Paterson. She owns two businesses – a real estate firm, Opus Properties in Totowa, and 4 My Mom, a children’s accessories line.

Danielle Staub had phone sex with a man she met online. (watch above video)

Dina Manzo has been married for four years and hopes one day to open Ladybug Houses so that children with cancer and their families have somewhere to stay.

Jacqueline Laurita hopes to have more children in the near future (she has a teenage daughter and a 6-year-old son).  She tends to play the role of peacemaker with her friends.

Teresa Giudice grew up in Paterson and is building her massive dream home with her husband. She also has a Shore house and earned a degree in fashion marketing and management from Berkeley College.

Update: A real-life Jersey girl (that would be me – metiny1 born, bred and still resides) will blog live on Facebook beginning at 11 p.m. EDT Tuesday, May 12, during the premiere of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Come join me and share your thoughts as we meet these five women. Click here or look up my handle,  TV Blogger Ava Gacser, on Facebook. I look forward to seeing you!
