Who cares if the “More to Love” bachelor was once skinny?

My reaction to the news that the “More to Love” bachelor was once thinner (judging by the pix in the video below, I’m not sure I would say “skinny”) is this: So what?

Honestly, I’m sure a lot of people have gone through periods in their lives when they are thinner or chunkier. Why is this news? Just because – as the above PopSugar video points out – that Luke Conley said on the show that he was always chubby as a kid? He was! They showed photos of him as a pre-teen on the show, and there was no doubt he was pudgy. So he got thinner in high school… he’s not thin now! And isn’t that the whole point of “More to Love”? He’s a plus-size adult man looking for a plus-size woman.

Mazel tov!

I’m already rooting for Jersey girl Kristian, a 26-year-old teacher from Wallington. This 5’5”, 225 pound beauty is S-A-S-S-Y!

“Guys I think are afraid to date a bigger girl and they love the skinny b**ches,” she said in the premiere. “My junk in the trunk – I’ve got a lot of it and I love it!”

“More to Love,” by the way, airs at 9 p.m. Tuesdays on Fox. The show’s premiere airs again tonight at 8 p.m. and Monday night at 9 p.m.

Michael Jackson: I believe that children are our future

Michael Jackson may not have penned Whitney Houston’s song, “Greatest Love of All,” but it’s becoming more and more clear that those were his exact sentiments – especially when it came to his own offspring, Prince, Paris and Blanket.

And Omer, too?

Wait a sec, I’m confused.

Is it possible that Michael was trying to create his own Jackson Five?

Is it possible that Michael was trying to create his own Jackson Five?

But perhaps I’m not as confused as Michael Jackson’s family. Either they are incredibly ill informed or they don’t talk to one another. (I suppose a bit of both is most likely.)

How else is there to explain why Michael’s brother Tito tells “The Insider” that he doesn’t known anything about his famous sibling fathering a “love child” from Norway named Omer Bhatti as his father tells another outlet that Omer is most certainly Michael’s son?

“I am not familiar with (those assertions) at this time, but I am going to be checking on that when I get home,” Tito told “The Insider” yesterday during an interview from Jamaica.

Meanwhile, Joe Jackson plainly states that Omer is, in fact, Michael’s child.

“Yes, I knew he had another son,” he says in the interview with NewsOne below. “Yes, I did. He looks like a Jackson, he acts like a Jackson…”

On that note, I am relieved to hear People’s report that Michael’s mother Katherine is getting custody of his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket. While I seriously doubt that she, at 79, will be their prime caretaker, I get the sense that she will not let their grandfather (that would be Joe) anywhere near them – at least without supervision. You can read more about Katherine gaining custody of the children right here.

What are the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” up to?

If this summer seems a little dull without “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” never fear.

While Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice are busy welcoming new additions to their families, Danielle Staub and the Manzo sisters – Dina and Caroline – are busy getting out and about in the tri-state area.

In addition to two upcoming live events in Englewood and Montclair featuring assorted members of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast, Dina Manzo was spotted over the weekend in Staten Island, N.Y., at a celebration of the launch of the comedic play “My Big Gay Italian Wedding.” The production, which premieres at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, stars Anthony Wilkinson and “One Life to Live’s” Scott Evans. Tickets, $19.50 to $75, are available through Ticketmaster.

“True Blood”: Are fans of the show reading the books?

Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello interviewed the “True Blood” cast at Comic-Con last week – including the intriguingly delicious threesome of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgard. (That’s Sookie, Bill and Eric to you and me.)

While obviously they can’t reveal the direction in which their storylines are heading this season, I thought it was interesting that Eric – oops, I mean Alexander – questioned what fun it would be if the show simply followed the Charlaine Harris books verbatim.

And I absolutely was shocked when Bill (aka Stephen) pointed out that the books’ fans will only ever comprise about 5 percent of the “True Blood” viewership. Which made me wonder… why don’t all fans of the show read the books? That’s exactly how I got into the show: I watched the first season and loved it so much I had to know what was going to happen next! And for those of you who haven’t read the books, I strongly encourage you to do so… because you won’t believe what’s going to happen!

You can watch additional interviews with Michelle Forbes (Maryann) and Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica), creator Alan Ball, and Sam Trammell (Sam), Rutina Wesley (Tara) and Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette) right here.

A taste of “True Blood”

Step on up, have a seat, tip back a nice lukewarm glass of TruBlood and watch this awesome “True Blood” trailer which gives us tantalizing hints at the rest of the season:
