Only in Jersey: 2/1/12

Welcome to the second edition of Only in Jersey!

If it’s filming in Jersey, takes place in Jersey, or is about celebs from Jersey, you will find it here.

Teresa and Joe Giudice

Montville’s Giuseppe aka “Juicy Joe” Giudice of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” pleaded not guilty Monday to using his brother’s documentation to obtain a driver’s license. His attorney, Miles Feinstein, told The Record that the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office offer to cap any prison sentence at 5 years in exchange for a guilty plea was “totally unfair.”  “I believe that because of Joe’s celebrity he is being treated differently,” Feinstein added. Joe is the entrepreneur husband of Teresa Giudice, who will appear on the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” beginning Sunday, Feb. 19.

Hot in the (Atlantic) City: Jon’s out, “True Blood’s” Ryan is in

Things are going pretty well for Jon Gosselin lately.

I'm sure Jon Gosselin will find some other way to occupy his Labor Day weekend. A little shopping, maybe?/Credit Just Jared

Sure, his marriage is kaput, and his soon-to-be ex-wife Kate is trashing him from here to eternity, but he’s got a pretty, young woman who’s standing by him (that would be Hailey, at least so far this week),

Vodpod videos no longer available.

he recently hung with a bevy of beauties poolside in Vegas, and “Good Morning America” lets him tell his side of the sordid “Jon & Kate Plus 8” tale in an interview set to air next Tuesday on both its show and ABC’s “Primetime” that same night.

But not everything is going Jon’s way. Take this weekend, for example. According to E! Online, the father of eight was all set to host another poolside party – this time at Harrah’s in Atlantic City – when he was unceremoniously bumped from the festivities and replaced by someone else:

Recognize him?

Recognize him?

Look familiar? He should; he’s Ryan Kwanten, who’s been burning up TV screens this summer as Sookie Stackhouse’s dim-bulb brother Jason in HBO’s “True Blood.”

Actually, it seems like Jon may have to blame TLC for the mess. E! cites a Life & Style report that the network forced Jon to back out of the gig at the same time it required Kate to cancel an appearance at another Atlantic City casino, Resorts.

So really, the big news here is that RYAN KWANTEN will be in Jersey on Saturday, beginning at 10 p.m. Go here to find out how you can join him (for only $20!!!).

A sneak peek at the “Lost” finale

“Lost”: OMG, what were you thinking, brother?

Is it possible that one of my favorite “Lost” characters, Desmond Hume, is a big old perv?

Is it possible this man can't keep his hands - or lips - to himself?/ABC

Can his man keep his hands - or lips - to himself?/ABC

Apparently so – or at least the man who plays him, the good-looking and seemingly charming Henry Ian Cusick. A woman who was formerly employed by ABC filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Cusick last week. And you won’t believe what she claims he did.

According to E! Online, Chelsea Stone asserts that the Scottish lad accosted her on the “Lost” set in October 2007. He “placed his hand on her buttocks” and caressed her back “while making moaning sounds.” But evidently he was just warming up! He then, E! reports, placed his face in her cleavage (why is she standing still for this??) and moved his head back and forth. Oh, and he also touched her breasts with his man-paws and kissed her full on the mouth for good measure.

Yup, sounds like a perv to me.

Stone’s suit also claims she reported the incident to her supervisor, who told her to avoid being near the actor. (Typical! What are the chances her supervisor was a man?) Stone says she was fired 12 days later, alleging it was retaliation for reporting the incident. The suit states that Stone worked for the network since 1997.

Stone didn’t just lose her job, though. E! reports that the lawsuit states “plaintiff suffered humiliation and severe mental and emotional distress, and suffered injury when by means of her stress plaintiff miscarried.”

Now that’s just horrible.

You can read the entire lawsuit here.

In the meantime, what does this mean for Cusick’s future on the show? Well, as you may recall, I previously indicated that I think his character will be the one to perish this season. (Not that I have insider information or anything.) And judging by “Lost’s” past history of killing off characters who have run-ins with the law (see Ana Lucia and Libby; though Jin’s gotten a pass – so far), I wouldn’t at all be surprised if Desmond bit the big one by season’s end. And he did get shot a couple weeks back…

Who’s going to be permanently “Lost”?

Rumors are flying that a major character will be killed off of “Lost” by the end of the season.

Surely you can't be serious...

Surely you can't be serious...

Could it be Sayid? Sawyer? Sun? Hurley? Nah… I’m going to guess it’s one of my favorites, Desmond.

Here’s what E! Online says about the situation:

*The character is one much-loved by fans.

*Their death will result in them leaving the show permanently, like the Hobbit (Charlie), Boone, Libby, Shannon… need I go on?

*The character is not Kate. (Not that I ever seriously considered it to be, even when reports came out that she might be leaving the show.)

Initially I thought it might be Hurley, but honestly I don’t think they would get rid of him. He’s too beloved by fans, if that’s possible. Desmond’s been on the periphery all season, and his storyline’s been completely marginalized. I mean, what was that bit a few weeks ago with the pendulum? He seemed uncontrollable, and I’m sure Ben doesn’t want to deal with him.

Anyway, E! goes on to say that the actor/actress was just informed of their character’s imminent demise last week and is none too happy about it. “Unfortunately, [he or she] found out after the script treatments were sent out to some of the crew on the set,” says E!’s super-secret source. “So it wasn’t the best timing.”

I’ll say! It’s never the best time to find out you’re being written off the biggest show on television… I’m going to miss ya, Brother!
