Thanks a million!

It’s Christmas time, and I can’t think of a more perfect gift than this lil’ old blog reaching its 1 millionth hit.

Now, it’s official – that’s exactly what it’s done, a few months shy of its third anniversary. Thank you!

In addition to thanking you, my visitors, there are a few other people I must acknowledge. For without these individuals, my blog would not have reached this milestone for many, many more moons to come.

It’s nothing but drama, drama, drama in the Garden State.

They're baaaaack.... spray tans and Aquanet and all.

At least that’s what you’d assume after watching the first few episodes of “Jerseylicious” this season. What have hairstylists Tracy, Gigi and Anthony, makeup artists Alexa and Olivia, and Green Brook-based Gatsby Salon owners Gayle and Christy been up to? A whole lot. Check it out.

Passion for fashion: Lloyd Boston proves style and New Jersey go hand-in-hand

If the only thing you know about New Jersey is what you see on television – aka “Jerseylicious,” “Jersey Couture,” “Jersey Shore” and “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” – you may be under the false impression that everyone in the Garden State wears bedazzled animal prints 24/7.

That’s where you’d be wrong – and Lloyd Boston is proof of that. The New Brunswick native is a fashion style expert with four books and a TV show, “Closet Cases,” under his belt. His latest tome, “The Style Checklist: The Ultimate Wardrobe Essentials For You,” dropped earlier this month. A regular contributor to the “Today” show, Lloyd appeared on the morning program twice last week alone to talk fashion. He will add to his list of TV appearances when he drops by “The Wendy Williams Show” on Sept. 15 (check local listings) and  “The Martha Stewart Show” on Hallmark Channel at 10 a.m. Sept. 22.

Lloyd also took part in New York City’s Fashion’s Night Out on Friday, which is where I met up with him. As spokesman for Jones New York, Lloyd dazzled Lord & Taylor shoppers with a fashion show and commentary, and later offered tips – as well as photos and autographs – to his admirers.

It’s officially summer, and things are definitely heating up in the Garden State.

Take “Jerseylicious,” for example. The hit Style Network show may be on hiatus, but that doesn’t mean the employees of Green Brook’s Gatsby Salon are resting on their laurels.

Far from it, actually. The network recently announced that it has renewed the reality show for a second season of a whopping 20 – count ’em, 20! – episodes. Even better: You won’t have to wait all that long to see these new episodes. The new season commences at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5.

What’s colorful, stylish – “Jerseylicious” even, you might say – and all over reality television?

Not only has the shop been featured on Style Network’s “Jerseylicious”, but it is a regular shopping destination for none other than Teresa Giudice, one of the stars of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
