“Real Housewives of New Jersey” husband Joe Giudice is making news once again – and this time it has nothing to do with him using his brother’s ID to get himself a driver’s license. New York’s WABC-TV reported last night that Montville’s own “Juicy Joe,” husband of Teresa Giudice, is in hot water for sticking it to tenants who live above his business, Giuseppe’s Homestyle Pizzeria, on Maple Avenue in Hillside. Five families were locked out of their apartments on Wednesday due to fire safety concerns. The power was shut off because of meter tampering, the network said, as well as the landlord’s unpaid PSE&G bill. Hillside Mayor Joseph Menza said the electric company refused to turn the power back on until Joe made good on his $53,000 debt. Joe told reporter Nina Pineda, “… there’s nothing I can do. I don’t own the building,” but it turns out he does, in fact, own it. Then he told Nina he’d tried helping his tenants by installing a generator, which the fire department subsequently shut off because it filled the apartments with deadly carbon monoxide. PSE&G eventually capitulated and turned power back on due to persistent pressure from the township’s mayor and the network. During a final inspection of the apartments, it was also discovered the fire alarms weren’t working, which was apparently because Joe never paid the alarm company. Nina Pineda says that the township plans on citing Joe for putting his tenants’ lives in danger. It sounds like Joe needs a lesson in respecting and valuing the lives of others. Perhaps a viewing of “The Super,” starring another New Jersey native son, Joe Pesci, is in order?

Red Bank will be front and center beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday when AMC premieres “Comic Book Men.”  The one-hour unscripted series follows employees and customers of film director Kevin Smith’s comic store, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. The network’s description – “as the team buys, sells and discovers the treasures of the comic collecting world, they share all the juicy details with Kevin through their outrageous podcast” – makes it sound like a comics-tailored version of “Pawn Stars.”

Teresa and Joe Giudice

Montville’s Giuseppe aka “Juicy Joe” Giudice of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” pleaded not guilty Monday to using his brother’s documentation to obtain a driver’s license. His attorney, Miles Feinstein, told The Record that the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office offer to cap any prison sentence at 5 years in exchange for a guilty plea was “totally unfair.”  “I believe that because of Joe’s celebrity he is being treated differently,” Feinstein added. Joe is the entrepreneur husband of Teresa Giudice, who will appear on the upcoming season of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” beginning Sunday, Feb. 19.

Police arrest, charge “Real Housewives of New Jersey” hubby with DWI

The cameras may be rolling for a second season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” but it’s a “Real” husband who’s getting a lot of unwanted attention.

Teresa Giudice’s “happy wife, happy life” hubby was arrested last night and charged with driving while intoxicated following a car accident near his Towaco home.

According to The Daily Record, Giuseppe (Joe) Giudice hit a pole with a 2006 Ford at 1:47 a.m. on Jacksonville Road. When Montville police responded, the paper reports, they discovered Joe, 39, had been drinking.

Joe was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital with minor injuries and was later released. After providing a blood sample, the Record says, the father of four was charged with DWI. He also received summonses for assorted other infractions, including failure to maintain lane, careless driving and reckless driving.

While in custody, Montville police learned that Joe had outstanding warrants out of another town, Clifton, for violating city ordinances.  As a result, he was transferred to Clifton and held on $2,625 bail before being released, TMZ reports, at 6:20 a.m.

Although neither news report includes info as to the whereabouts of Teresa, her “Real Housewives” co-stars, Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita, earlier last night tweeted that she was with them, first having drinks at The Standard hotel, followed by dinner at I Trulli, both in New York City. Although Caroline’s tweets do not mention Joe, Jacqueline includes two Joes in her second-to-last tweet of the night:

“At Vig27, with Chris, Joe, Teresa, Joe,Vic, Tamra, & Marcos. Gay bars are the best.”

Could Joe Giudice have been with the group – which evidently also included “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Tamra Barney – prior to his accident and subsequent arrest?

Update Update

The Star-Ledger reports that Joe didn’t just crash his vehicle – a Ford pickup – he flipped it. And when he spoke with a police officer about the accident, he said he had wanted to get rid of the truck anyway, the paper says.

Is a “Real Housewife of New Jersey” going to lose her house?

The economy is in the toilet, and things are rough all over. Even for reality show stars.

RadarOnline reports that “Real Housewife of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice and her “delicious and juicy” hubby Joe may lose their brand-spanking-new Montville manse.

According to the tabloid site, papers have been filed by DLJ Mortgage Capital Inc. with New Jersey Superior Court to repossess the home Teresa and Joe share with their four daughters: Gia, 8, Gabriella, 5, Milania, 3, and 1-month-old Audriana. The home, as anyone who watched the first season of the hit Bravo series knows, is full of granite and marble and onyx.

Evidently the aforementioned foreclosure papers pertain to another property Teresa owns and not her 1+ million-square-foot granite and marble and onyx-filled home. The Star-Ledger reports the property in question is actually 5 miles away in Lincoln Park.

In related “RHNJ” news, the Ledger suggests there may be a new housewife taking over for one of the five women featured in the first season. Teresa, Caroline Manzo and the ever-so-controversial Danielle Staub will supposedly return, but the fates of Jacqueline Laurita and Dina Manzo are still up in the air.
