Only in Jersey: 3/9/12

TGIF! Time for another edition of Only in Jersey!

If it’s filming in Jersey, takes place in Jersey, or is about celebs from Jersey, you will find it here.

Chaz Brown: Hope he's good at juggling.

Jerseyans and reality shows go together like, well, peas and carrots. Case in point: A “Top Chef: Texas” contestant (who was eliminated in the qualifying rounds) from Voorhees will compete in Bravo’s latest food-based competition, “Around the World in 80 Plates,” beginning Wednesday, May 9. Chaz Brown, the chef de cuisine at New York’s Fatty Crab, will battle against 11 experienced cooks in culinary challenges across the globe. The show, which is hosted by Curtis Stone and Cat Cora, sounds like a combination of “Top Chef” and CBS’ “The Amazing Race.” Here’s hoping the French Culinary Institute grad never hears the unfortunate words, “I’m sorry to tell you, but you’ve been eliminated from the race.”

Forget about country boys – thank God for Jersey boys!

That’s what I’m sure millions of women will say when this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly hits the stands and they feast their eyes on Paul Wesley, star of The CW hit series “The Vampire Diaries.” Paul, who was born in New Brunswick and raised in Marlboro, graces the magazine with (depending on which one of three covers you pick) costars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. Paul’s character, Stefan Salvatore, the show’s resident “good” vampire, went rogue this season while his brother, Damon (Somerhalder), has taken over the hero vampire role. Don’t expect it to last.

Civil War-era vampire Stefan Salvatore may be calm, cool and collected when it comes to the ladies, but the actor who plays him on “The Vampire Diaries,” Jersey boy Paul Wesley, admits to being anything but.

Take one of his earliest crushes – a 12-year-old classmate in Marlboro (Monmouth County), NJ. In a move designed to be “super romantic” and “super suave,” Paul copped his dad’s credit card and ordered the biggest, most elaborate bouquet available for his lady love. Trouble ensued when the florist included his father’s name on the card.

“They thought my dad was sending a 12-year-old girl a massive teddy bear and some flowers,” he revealed on “George Lopez Tonight” last week. “My father refused to pay, so they took it away from her.”

It’s a little embarrassing to admit I lust after enjoy watching the men of  “The Vampire Diaries” as much as I do.

"The Vampire Diaries" is the kind of show that keeps on giving.

Yet, like George Washington, I cannot tell a lie.

Week after week, the finely chiseled jawline of Paul Wesley (a Jersey boy, holla!) and the mesmerizing baby blues of Ian Somerhalder – not to mention their oh-so-hawt bods – make me weak in the knees.

And what’s wrong with that? Absolutely nothing… except that the bods in question belong to guys just a bit younger than cute lil’ me.

Nigel Barker live = Priceless

How much would you pay to be photographed by this man?

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful... OR because I have the most gorgeously clipped English accent.

A $100 asking price wasn’t enough to dissuade a long line of lucky ladies (and men!) from the privilege of having “America’s Next Top Model” judge, *noted fashion photographer* Nigel Barker, step behind the camera and snap away during Fashion’s Night Out earlier this month in New York City.
