I’ve seen some people kvetching online about how lame this week’s “My Big Fat Italian Vacation” episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” was, but I loved every minute of it.

And there were a million and one reasons to love it. And much of the credit belongs to Teresa Giudice, who came up with the idea in the first place and whose antics before, during – and who knows, probably after, too! – made for some pretty amusing television. Just watch:

Vodpod videos no longer available.

By the way, I’m so relieved to see “Fabulous!!!” works in any country. Now if only they could learn to say it in Italian…

Favoloso!

The first ladies of the Garden State – that would be Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and, oh yes, Danielle Staub – have been all over the place in the past few weeks. Have they been in your neighborhood?

“Real Housewives of New Jersey”: Teresa traverses the Garden State

This may be New Jersey, but that doesn’t mean you run into a “Real Housewife” every day.

Believe it or not, the Garden State is pretty big – or at least it seems that way when you’re fighting traffic from one end of it to the other. And since the cast of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” hails from Bergen/Passaic/Morris counties (for the uninitiated, that’s up north toward NYC), it’s a treat to see them on your own turf.

That’s why I was pleasantly surprised when mother of four Teresa Giudice stopped by Barnes & Noble in Princeton on Saturday to sign copies of her cookbook, ‘Skinny Italian.”
